WhatsApp Vacation Mode : New Banner Revealed In The Latest Android Beta Update.
The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp has been working to introduce vacation mode for a long time. Now in the latest beta version of the app, 2.20.206.2, more details about this upcoming feature have been revealed, states a report from WABetaInfo.
According to the report, a new banner has been detected for archived chats in the app that will host muted chats.
"Chats with new messages will not return to the main chat list," reads the screenshot of this new archived chat banner, the report states.
At this time, when a WhatsApp user archives a chat, they automatically return to the main chat screen when they receive a message in that chat.
However, with the action mode, these chats are said to remain archived even when new messages are exchanged in the chat.

WABetaInfo, the online platform that tracks upcoming changes and features, has not disclosed any tentative date for the feature's launch, but claims it shouldn't take long considering they are "rolling out the presentation banner."
Rumors about the launch of WhatsApp's 'vacation mode' have been around since 2018. In July 2020, it was claimed that the feature had been shelved, however, by September it was apparently in development again.
